Twinstead CC Update – September

End of Season Roundup

I am pleased to inform you all that Twinstead CC have finished the season as Hunts County Bats Division 5 Champions and gained promotion to Division 4 in only our second season of league cricket.  We also reached the final of the Hunt’s League Cup and ended up sharing the trophy with Milden CC when the pitch was adjudged to be unplayable due to the previous week’s weather.  The result of being joint winners is not how either club would have preferred it but it was a nice reward for reaching the final.
The friendly side has also had a very successful season with players ranging in age from 9 to 72 enjoying the game at our beautiful ground.  The emergence and development of the younger players has been especially pleasing to see as has the more senior players passing on their experience to the younger players.
I would like to thank you all so much for your very kind support and sponsorship over the last 12 months as the club’s success has been a real team effort both on and off the field.  You have all been a part of the winning team this season.  I hope that you will all continue to support the club going forwards as we enter uncharted waters next season and aim to step up the youth development side of the club.  There are also some great advertising and publicity opportunities coming up as the club are planning to purchase ground covers to protect the pitch during bad weather.  If you look at the attached photographs you will see that they provide a fantastic site for corporate logos and details.  We can offer the name and details of your business on these covers at a very reasonable cost and they would remain on the covers for a 5 year period without any annual renewal charge.  Please email me for details on this, our annual fixture booklet and all other opportunities around the ground..
Once again thank you all for supporting our great little club throughout the 2017 season.
We are now stocking Harley Wines’ Vanilla Chardonnay and Coffee Pinotage so come and try some!!!  There will be lots of guest beers also.

Please come along even if you’re not playing and enjoy some drinks and cricket at the beautiful TCG.

Hope to see you at the ground.
