Back to back titles and promotions for Twinstead CC!

Saturday saw TCC win the Division Title and gain promotion to Division 3. This is the second year running that they have achieved this! This fabulous club deserves this kind of success with their commitment to the club and their policy of bringing on and training youngsters. Their patience in dealing with a bunch of rank amateurs from the pub deserves a mention too! Here's to many more years of success, long may it endure.

NEW SEASON – Firsts sail to the top of the league in new campaign.

Tiptree Engaine state their title intent with an 8:1 thrashing of Gas Recreation Reserves away.

After another 57 year long preseason, Tiptree Engaine started the new campaign knowing their team, players and with match fitness raring to go. Pomphrett and Runicles set out a 4-3-3 with Goodyear in a roaming role going where he pleased. It was a sunny day at Burches Meadow but after seeing that the heavens had opened for two days before, both teams were grateful for some give under their feet after what had been a preseason played on turf that could be mistaken for concrete. Twinstead Cricket Club – Help & Support Required

 As I write this article we are approaching the final month of the season.  This has been our first season in the Hunts County Bats League Division 4 after winning the Division 5 title and promotion last season.  My expectations this season were to try an be competitive in our new division and try to stay in Division 4 for 2019.  However, I am very happy to report that we currently sit on top of Division 4 by and extremely narrow margin with 3 very tough games remaining.  This is a credit to the fantastic dedication and hard work of…
