Saint Arnold Group
The Saint Arnold Group of pubs is made up of the Five Bells in Colne Engaine, The Griffin in Halstead, The Lion in Earls Colne and The Three Horseshoes in Fordham.
Owners, Darran & Caroline Lingley bought the Five Bells in 2002 & worked extremely hard to build a wonderful Community pub with an outstanding team & reputation. Darran was awarded BII Licensee of the Year in 2011 and the Five Bells has won many other awards over the years.
In 2012 both the Griffin & Lion were purchased and in turn this created the Saint Arnold Pub Group.
The Griffin is a fantastic pub in the heart of Halstead town, proudly offering an eclectic selection of Real Ales & hand-picked wines.
The Lion in Earls Colne high street is a beautiful Tudor era pub, which has undergone renovation and building work. Serving meals cooked in a wood-fired clay oven alongside real ales and a great selection of unusual wines, The Lion provides a comfortable and friendly place to dine.
The Three Horseshoes purchased in 2017 this is a village pub in Fordham. A traditional community pub, The Three Horseshoes is a modern interpretation of an original public house. It is a warm and friendly meeting place, serving great food and drink. It combines comfort and style with a relaxed atmosphere in a building that dates back, in part, to as early as 1520 AD.
We pride ourselves on being a community hub and are open 6 days a week.
